Amanda West’s designs are inspired by the exquisite hues of Oriental silk garments and the movement of nature, combined with the harmonious aesthetics of flora and fauna. The design process used is often mixed media, using various mark making and collage to give texture to motifs.

Amanda’s distinctive vibrant designs embrace the culture of her Singaporean and English heritage and she is inspired by the exquisite hues of Oriental silk garments, and the harmonious aesthetics of florals and fauna.

Her intricate and unique illustrations explore the delicate textures and patterns in nature, whilst also embracing a fusion of chinoiserie and art deco.
